I have birth control pills, and I’m going to be going on a plane from Minneapolis to Atlanta, and then from Atlanta to Madrid, then from Barcelona to Atlanta, and then from Atlanta to Minneapolis. Is it okay to take my birth control pills in my carry on? What are the rules?

Yes, you can take them with you. Medications prescribed by a doctor as well as OTC medicines are allowed as carry-ons. I bring a big bag of pills with me everywhere I travel, and I do a lot of international travel. I’ve never had any problems anywhere.
Normally it’s a good idea to take your prescription with you in case the drug laws are different in the country you are visiting and someone questions you, but birth control is common everywhere and you should not have any problems at all.
