MS if your looking for better weather.
Southern weather is horrible, you never know the season. One day your in shorts, next your in sweats and then it’s christmas and your back to shorts.
But Louisiana has really humid, damp weather and the bugs are lot worse than MS. Don’t get me wrong there is gnats and mosquitoes that are bad at night in MS (off is your friend in the south.) but it is nothing compared to LA
However, Louisiana have a better education system if you have kids. There is more to do in the means of shopping/tourist/bars/sit down restaurants.
But Mississippi is very layed back. You can either do a big city where no one will notice you or you can do a small town where everyone and their mother will notice you.
It sounds weird but I prefer small towns and their schools. Yes, it is harder to gain a college scholarship for your kids in a small school and there is a lot of gossip. But the teachers care more, whole families are involved in the school not just the kid, the memories are insane, there is less violence/drug usage, the chance of your kid making a varisty team is much more likely in a small school, and big plus small schools (and most every school in MS) is not on Union. Meaning teachers can stay late and work with your child, there is no tenner so teachers can lose their job if they suck.
